Self-healing low voltage shunt capacitor is used mainly for raising power factor of power system.

Type meaning

Technical performance
1. The self-healing low voltage shunt capacitors accords with the stipulations of national standards GB12747-91 (Equivalent adopting international standards IEC871-1).
2. Installed under ordinary climatic conditions, ambient air temperature is -25°C+50°C and installed in area no higher than 2000m in height above sea level.
3. The capacitance deviation of capacitors may not exceed 0~10% of rated value.
4. Under rated voltage of power frequency and when at 20°C, the loss angle tangent value of capacitors may not larger than 0.002
5. The capacitor is able to operate for a long period of time under the highest value of 1.1-fold the rated voltage.
6. The capacitor is allowed to operate over long periods of time under 1.3 times the rated current of the capacitor as a result of a rise in voltage and high harmonic waves.

Brief structure of the capacitor
1. The capacitor elements are winded up with two layers of metallized polypropylene films.
2. There are discharge resistances inside the capacitor so as to reduce the voltage between terminals to less than 50 volts within one minute after the power cut off.
3. The capacitor is equipped with a sensitive over-pressure isolating device. Once a breakdown occurs, the over pressure set up inside the capacitor case will make the device work to cut off power automatically.
